The Curious Robot

As humans we have many curiosities. This is the way we learn. It’s how we learn from our mistakes and how to do something new. It’s how we expand in life. The short story that I read was about a curious robot.
This story takes place in the distant future and there are more robots than there are humans. There is one unique robot one that likes to ask questions to learn things. So one day he’s talking to his friend and for the first time ever he sees a human and they get on the subject of humans being superior. His friend found them to be superior, but the curios robot thought differently. There were many things stacked against humans being superior, like the fact that they their quantity was decreasing, robots did everything, they were small, they didn’t really have a great memory capacity, and couldn’t do as much as the robots. Although all of this was true there was one thing that could beat all of this and that was that humans created them. In all of the work that they had done the outcome was for humans. His told him not to ask the human any questions or it would blow his circuits but he still did. So the robot asked the human what his purpose what was his purpose and the human couldn’t respond instead he became angry it was his circuits that blew. So I guess this time curiosity didn’t kill the cat.

Title: Bionic Legs
Author: Martin Caidin

This article is about a test pilot named Steve Austin who suffered a bad accident. In the accident he lost both of his legs and is trying to get bionic duplicates. To build the the bionic legs, the material they used were plastic, cerosium, dacron, and silastic. They were expiramenting with the new world of humans and bionic by combining live flesh and bone to electronics and steel. They also used vitallium, plastic, and tiny powerfull units of nuclear energy. While Steve was sleeping they applied pressure on the soles of his bionic feet and side pressures twisting his forces. Thet measured the flow of electrical energy from his brain down to the intricate nerve networks. The signal was boosted and went down to his joints that could bend, twist, and flex. This was successfull because they attached small motors that are spinning with nuclear energy which recived the signal and responded and sent more energy to the joints.

In Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? it tells about the strange world of twenty-first-century Earth, a devastated planet in which incredibly realistic androids, banned from the planet, fight back against their potential destroyers. Grim and foreboding, even today it is a masterpiece ahead of its time.
